On 2nd May 2011, a special operation codenamed Neptune Spear was carried out by US Navy Seals in Pakistan to kill Osama Bin Laden. A piece of credit for successfully executing the mission goes to the stealth helicopters used in the mission.

These Black Hawk helicopters were modified to have low radar visibility and to be less noisy. One of the Black Hawk crash-landed during the operation. But, it was destroyed by the navy seals to conceal the stealth technology used by the US Forces in the helicopters.
